About 30 Forensic Engineering
30 Forensic Engineering was founded in Toronto in 2002. In the beginning, our team comprised four engineers working in three disciplines out of a small office space on Victoria Street. Since then, we’ve evolved into a firm of more than 55 engineers, scientists and experts working in thirteen different practice areas across Forensic Engineering, Loss Mitigation and Remediation. Since inception, we’ve grown into one of Canada’s largest and most respected multi-disciplinary forensic firms serving loyal clientele primarily in the insurance and legal industries.
We provide world-class engineering and consulting expertise in:
Building and Fire Code
Geotechnical and Mining
Biomechanics Personal Injury & Human Factors
Environmental Health & Safety
Materials & Product Failure / Piping & HVAC
Fire / Electrical & Explosion investigations
We’ve changed substantially since our inception and, in 2016, we chose a new name to reflect the organization we had become. We wanted a name that would express our unwavering commitment to the facts, to telling the whole story of each case—compellingly, correctly, convincingly.
In the early days of newspapers, reporters would type “-30-“ at the bottom of the last page of their final copy. This would signify to the publisher that the story was complete. That the facts were all there. That nothing more could be said. We couldn’t think of a better way to describe what we do. When we submit a report, we provide the complete picture, empowering our clients through knowledge to make decisions with confidence.
At 30, we’re inspired by the goal of becoming a global centre of excellence in Forensic Engineering and Science. Our commitment to this goal is reflected in our dedication to each investigation and the quality of the product we deliver to our clients.
