The Transportation Safety group examines the design, operations and maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian transportation routes.
As civil engineers specializing in transportation, we are experts in all aspects of road, pedestrian, bicycle, and rail safety. In addition to undertaking investigations for litigants and defendants, we provide studies and recommendations to local transportation authorities to help ensure they maintain high safety standards.
All members of our team are exclusively dedicated to road safety, and actively involved in numerous industry associations, committees and conferences throughout North America, including the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the Transportation Safety Council, the Ontario Provincial Standards Traffic Safety Committee, and the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals.
We’re also educators. Each year, we teach a two-day seminar on road safety we developed for the Ontario Traffic Council, and are now also teaching seminars in the emerging disciplines of pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
Pulling from a wide array of data from our field investigations, quantitative collision analysis methods, and seasoned knowledge of transportation planning, engineering and safety, we’ve built a solid reputation for the credibility and clarity of our reporting. The key to our success is our vigilant analysis of current trends, improvements and developments within the areas of road user and pedestrian safety, as well as a practical-minded approach to the investigations we perform.
